It was a one-man Sho as Angels skid

Shohei Ohtani’s solo home run in the bottom of the ninth was the sole highlight for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim as they lost 7-1 to the Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday. It was their third straight loss.

The defeat dropped the team record to 25-19. They’re still in second place in the American League West, but just a half-game ahead of the Seattle Mariners.

Nick Tropeano (1-2) will make the start for the Halos on Friday in an effort to stop the slide.
