THREE local high school football teams made the Top 10s announced Monday by the CIF-SS.
Three teams from the Garden Grove-Huntington Beach-Westminster area made it into CIF-SS football rankings this week. The polls released Monday had Edison, Huntington Beach and Garden Grove making Top 10s in their respective divisions.
Edison (2-0) is ranked second in Division 3, up from third in the pre-season poll. Huntington Beach (1-0) is eighth in Division 7, while Garden Grove (1-0) is ninth in Division 8.
A total of 17 Orange County schools are ranked this week. Here’s the list.
Division 1
- Mater Dei (1-0) is second
- Mission Viejo (1-0) is fourth
- Servite (1-0) is sixth
Division 3
- Edison (2-0) is second
- Buena Park (1-0) is seventh
Division 4
- Corona del Mar (1-0) is seventh
- Valencia (0-1) is ninth
Division 7
- Tustin (1-0) is sixth
- Huntington Beach (1-0) is eighth
Division 8
- El Modena (0-0) is first
- Laguna Hills (0-0) is third
- Brea Olinda (0-0) is seventh
- Garden Grove (1-0) is ninth
Division 12
- Segerstrom (1-0) is third
- Saddleback (0-0) is ninth.
Division 13
- Santa Ana (0-0) is first
- Godinez (0-0) is third.
