Benghazi e-mails found by FBI?

About 30 e-mails that might be related to the 2012 attack on American compounds in Benghazi, Libya are among the thousands of e-mails recovered in the FBI’s investigation into then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s use of a private e-mail server, the State Department announced Tuesday. According to the Associated Press, some of the 30 were not included in the 55,000 pages previously released by Clinton. The State Department added that it would until the end of September to review the e-mails and omit from public disclosure classified information.

THOUSANDS OF BODIES IN ISIS GRAVES: AP

The AP’s investigation into allegations of mass massacres of people by gunmen of the Islamic State has turned up 72 mass grave sites in Iraq and Syria. Uncounted thousands of bodies are believed to be entombed, with many of the victims shot while handcuffed. So far, estimates of those killed range up to 15,000, although officials believe that most of the mass grave sites have yet to be found.

SUICIDAL PILOT FAILED FLIGHT TEST

Andreas Lubitz, the German pilot who apparently deliberately dove his airliner into a mountain in 2015, had trouble learning to fly an airplane and failed a “situational awareness test” at the Arizona flight school of Lufthansa. According to the AP, Lubitz was promoted and hired by Germanwings airline. An FBI investigation indicated that Lubitz was being treated for depression, but hid that fact from airline officials. The crash took the life of 150 people.

EU TAKING TAX BITE IT OUT OF APPLE

Over $15 billion in back taxes will be charged to Apple, Inc. based on what the European Union called illegal tax breaks offered by the Irish government to the huge tech company. Apple will also interest on that amount, dating back 11 years. According to the AP, Apple used tax exemptions to pay little or no tax during that time. Apple’s reply: “We now find ourselves in the unusual position of being ordered to retroactively pay additional taxes to a government that says we don’t owe them any more than we’ve already paid.”
