In a game interrupted for 38 minutes by rain, the Los Angeles Angels lost 3-2 to the Texas Rangers in Arlington Monday night. The American League West leaders scored on three singles in the bottom of the ninth to post the win and improve to 89-62. The Halos went to 65-85 with the loss.
Scoring once each in the top of the sixth and seventh innings, the Halo took a 2-1 lead into the bottom of the seventh, but Texas tied it up on Elvis Andrus’ home run and won it with Ian Desmond’s two-out line drive single to right.
The series continues Tuesday with Daniel Wright (0-3) expected to make the start for the Halos.
