From bad barbers to The Boss, fun stuff to do and see this weekend in the Garden Grove-Huntington Beach-Westminster area as September gives way to October and autumn really gets underway. “Sweeney Todd” opens at the Gem Theater and there’s a Springsteen tribute concert brewing up as well.

The macabre musical by Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler, “Sweeney Todd,” opens this weekend at the Gem Theater on Main Street in Garden Grove. One More Productions will be staging this production Thursdays through Saturday through Oct. 23. The Opening Night Gala will be this Saturday.
