Note to readers: The Orange County Tribune is now posting the results of questionnaires sent to candidates for city office in Garden Grove, Huntington Beach and Westminster as a public service. Running for: Huntington Beach City Council.
Resident of Huntington Beach
Age: 44.
Occupation: Financial advisor.
Family: Wife Krista
College educated.
Community Service: Currently on the Investment Advisory Board of the City of Huntington Beach.
Why running: I want to represent the citizens, not special interests. I’ve grown tired of seeing our council ignore the voice of the people on issues like high density development, Poseidon, and lack of Infrastructure repair.
Major issues: High density development: We need to continue fighting special Interests who want to overbuild and overpopulate our suburban beach town.
Unfunded liabilities – Our pensions are growing rapidly and we are needing to change the way we hire new employees in our city. We must convert to defined contribution plans and move away from defined benefit plans for our employees’ retirement.
