Why do you want to run for this office?

I believe in the power of our residents to shape our City and help our community prosper. The core of my campaign is about respecting the community, making sure your voice is heard, and working with the community to achieve your vision for Huntington Beach.

What do you think are the major issues facing your city and what would you do about them?

High Density Development – I am with the community and as your City Council member, I will continue the fight to retain the character of Huntington Beach. We are not LA or Santa Monica. We are Surf City USA.

Community Driven Decision Making – There are a many issues of concern to the HB community and I believe that most of them can be solved if the City were to focus on community driven decision making. The City needs to do a better job with government transparency, providing information to the community, and allowing the community the opportunity to be involved in the decision making. The City Council makes better decisions when there is wide public input.

Parks, Beaches & Wetlands – I will preserve and protect Huntington Beach parks, beaches, wetlands and open space.

Safety – Keeping the City safe is one of my top priorities. It is important not only for residents and businesses, but for tourism which is one of the primary contributors to the local economy and a source of jobs for local residents.
