Randall Walker scored 17 points to lead Edison High to a 43-42 win over Perris Tuesday in a boys’ basketball game. The win improved the Chargers’ record to 11-3 as they head toward the opening of Sunset League play on Friday.
In another nail-biter, Matt Bautista scored 26 points as Rancho Alamitos edged Santa Ana Valley 64-63 Tuesday. The Vaqueros (5-9) trailed by nine points going into the final quarter, but prevailed by outscoring the Falcons 27-17 in the final eight minutes.
