President Donald Trump signed executive orders on Wednesday aimed at combating illegal immigration. His orders would set in motion the construction of a massive wall news-watchalong the U.S.-Mexico border, and would prevent “sanctuary cities” – such as Santa Ana – from receiving federal grants.

“We’ve been talking about this right from the beginning,” Trump said during a brief signing ceremony at the Department of Homeland Security.

Also on Wednesday, the president announced he was ordering a “major investigation” into voter fraud. Trump won the Electoral College vote, but Democrat Hillary Clinton received about 2.9 million more popular votes, according to the non-partisan Cook Political Report. Trump has stated that he would have won the popular vote except for heavy voting – which he estimated at three to five million people – by illegal aliens.
