The Anaheim Ducks stopped a three-game slide Thursday night with a 5-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres at KeyBank Center. Corey Perry scored two goals and had an assist in the victory. Perry now has 11 goals on the season.
The game was deadlocked at 1-1 until the Ducks pulled away with four third period goals. Other Anaheimers scoring were Rakell (22nd goal of the year), Antoine Vermette (eighth) and Andrew Cogliano (11th).
In goal, John Gibson had 22 saves for Anaheim.
Winning Thursday put the Ducks at 29-17-10, good for 68 points and second in the NHL Pacific Division. Next up for the team is yet another road game on Saturday, this one against the Washington Capitals (38-11-6), the leaders of the Metropolitan Division of the Eastern Conference.
