LA QUINTA‘s baseball team is in first in the Garden Grove League after a win, and Santiago’s softball team remains undefeated.
La Quinta’s baseball team jumped into first place with a win Tuesday, while Santiago’s softball team continued its undefeated season with a shutout victory.
In Garden Grove League baseball, the Aztecs (6-3 overall) defeated Rancho Alamitos 4-1 to go to 2-0. The rest of the league is 1-1, except for Bolsa Grande (0-2).
Ocean View’s 17-5 hammering of Westminster kept the Seahawks (6-4) atop the Golden West League at 3-0. The loss dropped the Lions to 0-10 on the season.
In softball, Santiago blasted Century 16-0 in a non-league game, improving to 12-0. The Cavs are ranked number one in Division 6.
