Over a three-day period this week, three businesses in the area of Adams Avenue and Indianapolis Street in Huntington Beach were robbed. According to police, the affected firms were Surf City Tacos (815 Indianapolis), Sail In Liquor (230 Adams) and Taqueria Minimex (204 Adams).

In each case, the businesses had their front doors smashed and the cash register taken or broken into. Video cameras at the liquor store captured images of two males and one female – all possibly Hispanic –taking or breaking into the register, grabbing lottery tickets and cigarettes and fleeing from the location. Video from the other two places is being sought.

Police advise that businesses should not leave cash inside the register and to avoid damage to the empty register, leave the drawer open. If you have a security camera, make sure it’s working properly. Good deterrents include security gates or bars behind glass doors, and alarms.

Anyone with information on these break-ins is asked to contact the HBPD at (714) 960-8811,
