13 suspects are sought in mass robbery

HUNTINGTON BEACH police are seeking 13 suspects in the mass robbery of a Huntington Beach convenience store.

The Huntington Beach Police Department is asking the public’s help in helping to locate 13 suspects being sought in the Jan. 7 robbery of a convenience store by a group which pulled up in a party bus.

The incident occurred around 11:08 p.m at the 7-11 located at 706 Pacific Coast Highway. According to a witness, a “very large group” went into the store and stole items while others attacked the clerk. Members of the group boarded the bus, which motored north on Pacific Coast Highway.

But HBPD officers stopped the bus a short distance away. There were about 80 people on the bus and the help of other law enforcement agencies was summoned. Each person was taken off the bus and detained. Seven loaded handguns were found on the bus and two people were arrested for robbery. The others were interviewed and released.

According to Officer Jennifer Marlatt, the HBPD’s Special Investigations Bureau worked with the South East Division gang detectives of the Los Angeles Police Department and identified 24 suspects. Eleven have been arrested on various charges including weapons offenses.

The suspects pictured below are still outstanding and have warrants related to the Jan. 7 robbery. They are considered members of the “Bounty Hunters” gang.

Anyone with information about these suspects is asked to call the HBPD at (714) 960-8811.
