A motorcyclist remains in critical condition in a local hospital after he collided with one automobile and then struck by another on Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach Monday afternoon.
He was thrown into the northbound traffic lanes of the highway and struck by another vehicle. HBFD paramedics treated him at the scene and he was transported to an area trauma center.
MAN THREATENING TO JUMP SHUTS 405
A man threatening to kill himself by jumping off an overpass of the San Diego (405) Freeway in Westminster brought the thoroughfare to a complete halt for a period on Monday afternoon.
City News Service reported that a 29-year-old man stood on the Springdale Street bridge while the California Highway Patrol stopped traffic in both directions. After speaking with police for about 45 minutes, according to CNS, he was taken into custody for psychiatric evaluation and the freeway was reopened.
