“Obamacare” replacement passes House

A bill to replace “Obamacare” passed the U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday by a vote of 217-213. The American Health Care Act, advocated by President Donald Trump, now goes on to the Senate for approval.

Also on Thursday, the Senate passed a $1.1 trillion measure to keep the federal government operating through September. The bi-partisan bill doesn’t fund the proposed wall along the Mexican border or major cuts for a variety of programs.

In the balloting for the health care bill, 217 Republicans voted for the measure, with 20 opposed and one not voting. All 193 Democrats voted no.
