AN ANAHEIM man was arrested in Garden Grove in an attempted murder in Seal Beach.

A man wanted in an attempted murder Saturday in Seal Beach has been arrested in Garden Grove. According to the Seal Beach Police Department, the suspect is Billy Brazos Johnson, 52, of Anaheim.

The incident began on Saturday when police received a call at about 6:44 p.m. of a fight in an apartment in the 1500 block of Seal Way. Authorities believe that Brazos entered the apartment and tried to attack the resident with a knife. Although not stabbed, the victim sustained serious injuries and lost consciousness. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.

Detectives determined that Brazos had fled to a hotel in Garden Grove, where he was arrested. He was booked into Orange County Jail on a charge of attempted murder. Anyone with additional information is asked to call Detective Jeff Gibson at (562) 799-4100, ext. 1109.
