Labor Day will mean some time off for lots of people, and the Labor Day weekend means some time off for many entertainment venues as well. There aren’t many new film releases this weekend, and all the local live stage theaters are dark. So, maybe you’ll have some fun out of doors instead. Here’s a look at fun stuff in the Garden Grove-Huntington Beach-Westminster area, provided you stay cool.

- “Tulip Fever” tells the story of an unhappy arranged marriage and the frenzy of tulip sales in 17th century Holland. Starring Judi Dench, Matthew Morrison and Cara Delevigne. Rated R.
- Unlocked.” A disgraced CIA agent is demoted but given a second chance at stopping a terrorist attack. Starring Noomi Rapace, Michael Douglas, Orlando Bloom and Toni Collette.

Interesting things to do this weekend.
- “Civil War Days” are Saturday and Sunday in Huntington Central Park (Goldenwest Street and Talbert Avenue) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Huntington Beach Historical Society will host the 24th annual event. Admission is free and Civil War re-enactors will stage battles at 1:30 and 4 p.m. on Saturday and at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Sunday. For more details, go to https://www.hbhistory.org/civilwar .
