Panthers defend top ranking with ease

ORANGE HIGH defeated Santiago in a non-league game Thursday night.

Orange High proved worthy of its number one ranking in the CIF-SS Division 13 Thursday night when the Panthers routed Santiago High 46-7 in a non-league football game at Fred Kelly Stadium.

Jason Wilkinson led OHS (2-0) with four touchdown passes and one run for a score. The lone Cavalier (1-1) tally came when Angel Tajimaroa connected with Dylan Ourng for a score.

Orange will be back in action on Friday (Sept. 15) visiting Laguna Beach. Santiago will host Ocean View at Monsoor Stadium on the Garden Grove High campus next Thursday (Sept. 14).

Savanna 35, Bolsa Grande 7

The Matadors lost a non-league contest Thursday at their home stadium, falling to 1-2 on the season. They’ll play again on Friday, Sept. 15 when they visit Century High in Santa Ana.
