John Gibson again excelled in goal, recording 31 saves on 33 shots. His record is now 4-2-1. The Ducks are next in action on Thursday visiting the Florida Panthers at BB&T Center.
Dodgers open series with win over Astros
In case you weren’t one of the millions of Southern Californians watched the first game of the 2017 World Series on TV Tuesday night, the Los Angeles Dodgers began the Fall Classic with a 3-1 victory at home over the Houston Astros.
The Dodgers got all their runs on home runs. Chris Taylor hit one in the first inning to give the locals a 1-0 lead. Alex Bergman of the Astros answered with a homer in the fourth to tie the game up, and Justin Turner had another game-winning home run, this time a two-run shot in the bottom of the sixth.
Game two of the Series will be on Wednesday, again at Dodger Stadium. The scene will shift to Houston for games on Friday and Saturday.
