The Marina High School boy’s basketball team improved to 3-1 with a 64-62 overtime win over Peninsula High on Thursday in the Ocean View Jim Harris Classic.
Jakob Alamudun, a 6-foot, 4-inch junior, led the Vikings with 24 points.
Also on Thursday, Uriel Bautista had 22 points to pace Orangewood Academy in its 62-60 win over Katella. The Spartans improved to 1-2.
Michael Nadeau had 20 points in La Quinta’s 57-43 win over Century. The Aztecs are 2-1.
On the girls’ side, Nataly Palacios, a 5-foot, 7-inch senior, scored 13 points to lead Santiago to a 34-24 victory over La Quinta,
