Two suspects were arrested Friday in connection with a pair of robberies early Friday morning in Garden Grove.
The first robbery was reported at 5:11 a.m. at the Yam Hang Bakery, 9732 Garden Grove Blvd. A bakery employee told police that a suspect entered the business and showed a handgun, demanding money. She gave him an undisclosed amount of cash, and he left.
At 5:24 a.m., police received a robbery alarm from the 7-11 convenience store at 12753 Brookhurst St., close to the location of the earlier robbery. In this instance, two suspects entered the store, threatening to shoot the clerks and demanding money. The robbers took cash and fled on foot.
Arriving officers were directed by a clerk to a nearby location where the two suspects were identified and arrested. GGPD detectives will be seeking to determine if the suspects are responsible for other crimes.
