The selection of a mayor pro tem tops the agenda for Tuesday’s meeting of the Garden Grove City Council.
Councilman Phat Bui (District 4) is the current pro tem, which is a sort of vice mayor who presides over meetings of the city council when the mayor is absent.
Also on the agenda for Tuesday are:
- a community spotlight in recognition of Carlson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu for its 2017 championship;
- a presentation on organic waste recycling management by the city public works department;
- awarding of a contract (cost: $66,500) to furnish, deliver and install a walk-in freezer for the police department.
The next council meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 23. The council meets in its chamber inside the Community Meeting Center at 11300 Stanford Ave.
