Mayor Jones to talk on “State of City”

Garden Grove Mayor Steve Jones will deliver his second “State of the City” address on Wednesday at the Embassy Suites Hotel before a sold-out crowd.

Jones will talk on the “key challenges and opportunities” facing the city in 2018.

The speech is the highlight of a luncheon co-hosted by the City of Garden Grove and the Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce. The event starts at 11 a.m. and runs to 1:30 p.m..

At the 2017 event, Jones announced plans to build a 35-story hotel in Garden Grove, as well as a 70-unit single family housing project on what is now the site for the Shepherd’s Grove church.

The Embassy Suites is located at 11767 Harbor Blvd., just north of Chapman Avenue.
