Bike path deal goes to city council

Like the idea of being able to ride your bicycle from downtown Garden Grove to the commercial district at Brookhurst Street and Chapman Avenue?

The Garden Grove City Council on Tuesday night will be asked to give that and other “active transportation” concepts another push when it considers going forward with a $340,000 grant from the California Department of Transportation.

Garden Grove’s grant request was approved in December, but to make things final and official, the council must vote to provide the grant project title and authorize the city manager or his appointee to enter into the grant agreement.
