More info sought in skating sex attacks

AN 18-YEAR-OLD Huntington Beach man is accused of sexually attacking a woman and two girls while on “roller blades.”

The Orange County District Attorney’s office is seeking potential additional victims in connection with several instances of females being allegedly assaulted by a roller-skating attacker.

Michael Anthony Meer, 18, a resident of Huntington Beach, was charged Monday with three felony charges and two misdemeanors for sexually assaulting one woman and two girls in Huntington Beach.

According to the OCDA’s office, Meer faces felony charges of sexual penetration by a foreign object, assault with a deadly weapon and mayhem, as well as misdemeanors of annoying or molesting a minor and touching an intimate part of another person.

If convicted of all charges, he faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in state prison, plus two years in county jail. His arraignment was continued to April 6 at Central Jail in Santa Ana.
