THREE LOCAL prep teams are number one this week.
It may not be a record, but it’s still kind of impressive. Three local high school sports teams from the Garden Grove-Huntington Beach–Westminster area were ranked number one in spring sports in polls released by the CIF-SS on Monday.
Bolsa Grande’s baseball team was in the top spot in the Division 7 Top 10, while Rancho Alamitos is first in Division 4 boys’ volleyball and Garden Grove is first in Division 5 for boys’ volleyball.
Here’s a listing of all ranked local teams.
Baseball
- Division 1: Huntington Beach fifth.
- Division 5: Rancho Alamitos 10th.
- Division 7: Bolsa Grande first.
Softball
- Division 1: Pacifica 10th.
Boys’ volleyball
- Division 1: Huntington Beach seventh.
- Division 4: Rancho Alamitos first.
- Division 5: Garden Grove first, Orangewood Academy 10th.
