Garden Grove’s Magnolia Park Family Resource Center is celebrating its 18th anniversary on Saturday. To commemorate the special occasion, MPFRC is hosting a free community event, “Celebrating Everyday Heroes,” from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Magnolia Park, located at 11402 Magnolia St.
Highlights of the event include performances from local student clubs and groups, activities for the entire family, games for children, raffle prizes, a resource fair, and free health screenings. Food and refreshments will be available to the first 300 attendees.
MPFRC is the result of the city’s long-standing emphasis on developing youth potential, supporting families, and enriching communities through the Family Opportunities Creating Unity and Support (FOCUS) philosophy.
Services offered at MPFRC include individual and family counseling, parent classes, domestic violence support programs, teen and youth programs, and health and wellness services and resources.
