Chargers bounce back with 51-15 win

THURSDAY NIGHT high school football scores for teams of interest to the Garden Grove-Huntington Beach-Stanton-area.

Edison High’s football team snapped a rare two-game skid impressively Thursday night, crushing Canyon of Anaheim 51-15.

Patrick Angelovic threw for 257 yards and two touchdowns in the win at Cap Sheue Field. He completed 13 of 17 passes on the night.

The top Charger rusher was Kobe Lopez with 98 yards and a score, while Cole Koffler topped all receivers with 265 yards and three touchdowns.

Thursday’s win put EHS at 1-2. The Green and Gold will next take on San Juan Hills High at the Stallions’ stadium on Friday, Sept. 7.
