Shohei Ohtani homered off a left-handed pitcher for the first time all season on Tuesday night, but that was most of the highlight reel as the Los Angeles Angels lost 4-2 to the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Stadium in Arlington.
David Fletcher had three of the Angels’ six hits and scored a run. Andrew Heaney (8-9) took the loss after giving up seven hits and four runs in six innings. He struck out five batters and walked two, but was touched for two home runs.
The series with the Rangers (61-78) continues on Wednesday with Jaime Barria (9-8) facing former Angel Bartolo Colon (7-11).
