A sewage spill has led to the closure of the bay water area of Sunset Aquatic Marina and Portofino Cave Marina in Huntington Beach.

The Orange County Health Care Agency ordered the closure on Sunday when approximately 1000 gallons of sewage entered the water because of a blockage in a sewer line in Anaheim.

The affected bay water area is closed to ocean water sports there until the results of follow-up water quality monitoring show that safe standards are met.
