CODY BELLINGER was named the MVP of the National League Championship Series as the Dodgers defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 5-1 on Saturday. Game One of the World Series will be Tuesday against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park.

Riding the efforts of a fellow who knew just when to get a hit, the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 5-1 in the seventh game of the National League Championship Series on Saturday to advance to the World Series against the Boston Red Sox.

Walker Buehler allowed just one run and struck out seven batters in the 4.2 innings he pitched for the Dodgers.

The World Series will start on Tuesday at 5:09 p.m. Pacific time in Boston’s Fenway Park.

Upsets galore in college football

Top-rated Alabama (8-0 overall and 5-0 in the Southeastern Conference) stayed on course with a 58-21 win over Tennessee.

Anaheim Ducks lose in Las Vegas

Despite a 42-save effort by John Gibson, the Anaheim Ducks lost 3-1 on Saturday to the Las Vegas Golden Knights in “Sin City.”

The loss put the Ducks’ record at 5-2-1. That’s worth 11 points and first place in the NHL Pacific Division.  The Knights are 4-4.
