Two people were injured in a four-vehicle crash Tuesday morning, with one of them cut out of tangled wreckage by Garden Grove firefighters and both taken to area hospitals.
Involved were three passenger autos and a trash bin delivery truck; the truck and one car collided head-on. The driver of the car was trapped and in critical condition. The trash truck driver suffered moderate injuries.
The “Jaws of Life” hydraulic rescue tools were used to extricate the car’s driver from his smashed vehicle. Both of the injured were taken to hospitals by firefighter/paramedics for further treatment.
The incident is being investigated by the Westminster Police Department, and other assistance was provided by the Orange County Fire Authority, which serves Stanton and Westminster.
