Now, that’s more like it.
On Friday, the Los Angeles Angels hit well, got solid starting pitching and a stingy night from the bullpen. It all ended up as a 5-1 win over the Kansas City Royals in Missouri.
Albert Pujols and Kole Calhoun homered, driving in three of the five Angel runs. Pujols’ feat pushed him past Lou Gehrig on the all-time RBI list. He’s now in fourth, just one behind Barry Bonds and 91 behind Alex Rodriguez.
The Orange County team is now 11-6, and still in fifth in the AL West. They’re 5.5 games out of first and 2.5 games out of fourth.
On Saturday and Sunday the Angels will take on the Royals again, then have Monday off before coming home to start a series with the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday.
