UPDATE: The death toll in Sunday’s mass shooting in El Paso has been raised to 20 people killed, according to authorities. The number of those wounded is set at 26.
A 21-year-old man, Patrick Crusius of Allen, Texas, has been arrested in connection with the incident, which took place in a crowded Walmart store.

What’s being described as “multiple people” are dead in a mass shooting Sunday in a mall near El Paso. The number of killed and wounded is not certain, but one report puts the toll at three dead and up to 22 wounded.
El Paso, with 680,000 residents, is located in west Texas and is across the border from Juarez, Mexico.
It’s the second mass shooting in the U.S. in less than a week. Last Sunday, a gunman killed three people at the Gilroy Garlic Festival in northern California. The gunman then took his own life.
