Fatal shooting in Stanton investigated

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a fatal shooting that took place Monday in Stanton.

According to the OCSD, at 1:15 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the Villa Motel on the 11000 block of Beach Boulevard for an “unknown disturbance.” The callers said that a man had been shot.

Arriving deputies discovered a male adult victim. Lifesaving efforts were made but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. There is no suspect information.  The far right lane of Beach Boulevard was closed while the investigation proceeded.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the Orange County Coroner’s office has not released the identity or other information about the victim.

Westminster man shoots self in Irvine

A 24-year-old Westminster resident died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound Sunday in the parking lot of a Walmart store in Irvine, according to authorities.

The man was identified as Lisaki Ueligitone III. The incident took place around 4 p.m. on Sunday, according to the Irvine Police Department.

Garden Grove accident victim is identified

A man who died after a collision between his motorcycle and a pickup truck has been identified by the Orange County Coroner’s office. He is Matthew Peterson, 22, of Garden Grove.

The accident took place at 2:55 p.m. on Saturday at an unspecified street in Westminster.
