Council meets on Tuesday this time

The Huntington Beach City Council will meet on Tuesday, a day later than usual because of the Presidents’ Day holiday on Monday.

A study session at 4 p.m. will cover the results of the year-end audit and the mid-year budget update. A closed session on litigation and labor negotiations will follow at 5 p.m. with the regular session commencing at 6 p.m.

Items on the agendas include:

• Review of the conceptual diagram for the Rodgers’ Senior Center reuse;
• An update on the Ascon landfill site;
• A proposal by Councilmember Mike Posey to institute a free handicap beach parking program.

The council meets in its chambers in the Civic Center at 2000 Main St. (at Yorktown Avenue). The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 2.
