A series of measures relating to the coronavirus pandemic are on the agenda for Tuesday’s meeting of the Garden Grove City Council.
Additionally, the plan calls for an exploration of Meals on Wheels for those impacted by the virus and possible expansion of rental assistance.
The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. and will be televised on Channel 3 and live-streamed from the city’s website.
H. Beach parking meters off limits
In an effort to further discourage people from parking near the beaches in Surf City, the City of Huntington Beach is closing all metered parking along the beach side of Pacific Coast Highway starting today (Friday).
The closure will remain in effect until further notice. Police will patrol the metered stalls and any vehicles parked there illegally will be ticketed or towed.
Additionally, motorists are discouraged from parking in adjacent residential neighborhoods. Additional police patrols are planned to assist with parking and overcrowding issues.
Huntington Beach is one of the Orange County cities with the highest number of confirmed coronavirus cases, with 76 as of Thursday’s count.
