Monday’s count of coronavirus cases showed a slide in the number of new instances of COVID-19 infection in Orange County.
According to the Orange County Health Care Agency, 41 new cases are in today’s tally, a decline from 79 the day before, which showed a jump from Friday’s sum of 63.
Cases currently hospitalized are 128, with 42 in intensive care units.
The cumulative total of people tested for the virus in Orange County is up to 18,766.
A city-by-city tally of the COVID-19 cases continued to show Anaheim having the most – 207 – in Orange County. Santa Ana has 166, followed by Huntington Beach with 138, Irvine with 118 and Newport Beach with 89.
In the Tribune’s coverage area, after Huntington Beach, there’s Garden Grove with 62, Westminster with 23 and Stanton with 13.
