99 new cases, 2 deaths from virus

Ninety-nine new confirmed cases of coronavirus and two more deaths from COVID-19 were reported locally Saturday. That’s down from Friday’s count of 163 cases and five deaths.

According to the Orange County Health Care Agency, those new numbers bring the cumulative total of cases to 2,636 and deaths to 52.

Two hundred and two people – the most yet – have been hospitalized with the coronavirus, and 58 are in intensive care units.

New tests conducted are at 1,088 with a total now of 35,216 in Orange County.

Santa Ana remains the city with the most cases at 458, followed by Anaheim (382), Huntington Beach (226), Irvine (136) and Garden Grove (121).

In Westminster the total is 47; Stanton has 28.
