New coronavirus daily count is 133

The count of new confirmed coronavirus cases on a Memorial Day report by the Orange County Health Care Agency brought no deaths, but there were 133 new cases of COVID-19, as of this posting.

Cumulative cases to date are 5,469, of which 574 are residents of skilled nursing centers and 366 inmates of Orange County jail facilities. The number of deaths ascribed to coronavirus remains at 131.  The report shows 198 persons now hospitalized, of which 69 are in intensive care units.

Eight hundred thirty-four tests were reported, with 102,513 tests in Orange County to date.

Santa Ana remains the city with the most cases at 1,012, followed by Anaheim with 882, Huntington Beach with 327, Garden Grove with 279 and Orange with 253.

Of local communities, Westminster has 104 and Stanton 67.
