New confirmed coronavirus cases dropped on Friday from Thursdays’ count, but deaths doubled.
According to the Orange County Health Care Agency, 167 new cases of COVID-19 infection were tallied for Friday, down from 260 the day before. Deaths went from four to eight.
Two hundred ninety one cases are currently hospitalized, with 139 cases in intensive care units.
Regarding testing, 174,298 have been counted in the county, including 688 in the latest report. Of COVID-19
sufferers in the OC, 3,866 are listed as recovered.
The city statistics show Santa Ana with 1,751 (up 35), Anaheim with 1,516 (up 39), Garden Grove with 459 (up 17), Huntington Beach with 412 (up eight) and Orange with 368 (up one).
Westminster has 182 (up four) and Stanton 94 (up two).
