THE WESTMINSTER City Council will consider the 2020-21 budget on Wednesday (File photo).

Adoption of a city budget for 2020-21 tops the agenda for the Westminster City Council when it meets on Wednesday.

Due to the corona pandemic, the budget was originally projected with a $1 million deficit. That red ink will be balanced by the use of reserves, cuts in expenses and returns from capital projects. There are no layoffs foreseen, although several vacancies will go unfilled.
