Cleanup brings beauty back to area

The area of McFadden Avenue and Beach Boulevard has been home to what area visitors regarded as an eyesore, but no longer.

Officers from the Westminster Police Department today (Saturday) responded to the area where a local transient – suspected of having “mental health issues” – had an encampment. WPD officers contacted county health officials who took him to a local hospital for treatment and other assistance.

The area was cleaned up by the afternoon.
