Seven people have taken out nomination papers to run for local school board seats in the Nov. 3 election, as of Friday.
They are (incumbents are marked with an *):
- Area 1: Adam Degner.
- Area 3: Walter Muneton.*
Huntington Beach Union High
- Susan Henry.*
- Michael Simmons.*
- Christian Hernandez.
Ocean View (Elementary)
- Gina Clayton-Tarvin*
- Norm Westwell.*
Candidates have until Aug. 7 to return completed nomination petitions to the Orange County Registar of Voters. If an incumbent doesn’t run for re-election, the nomination period is extended to Aug. 12, for non-incumbents only.
