Mike Pompeo, the Secretary of State, returned to his home base today (Thursday) when he delivered a speech at Richard Nixon Presidential Library in Yorba Linda. He was born in Orange and was graduated from Los Amigos High School in 1982. Subject matter is China and “the future of the free world.”

Tatum Osborne has completed her service as 2019-2020 student representative to the Huntington Beach Union High School District Board of Trustees. She was also student body president at Marina High School for the past year.

A lawsuit challenging the results of the recent Westminster city council recall election was dropped unexpectedly by plaintiff Khai Do this week. An attempt to remove from office Mayor Tri Ta and councilmembers Kimberly Ho and Chi Charlie Nguyen was rejected by voters, but Do went to court alleging irregularities sufficient to overturn the result.

One more note about the June 3 Black Lives Matter demonstration. We are told that some of the African American police officers from Garden Grove present were berated by certain protestors for allegedly siding with the “white authority,” to put it politely.
