The daily tally of confirmed coronavirus cases declined for the fifth consecutive day on Sunday, according to the report of the Orange County Health Care Agency.
The test-positivity statistic – showing which percentage of people testing for COVID-19 actually were infected regardless of whether they showed symptoms – was at 12.1, a decline from Saturday’ 12.7. The “goal” is 8 percent.
Here’s a list of the OC cities with the most cases. Deaths are in parentheses.
- Santa Ana: 6,444 (143).
- Anaheim: 5,851 (140).
- Garden Grove: 1,816 (18).
- Huntington Beach: 1,615 (45).
- Orange: 1,591 (21).
Westminster has 636 cases with 16 deaths; Stanton has 402 cases with five deaths.
On the international and national levels, John Hopkins University reports:
- Worldwide cases are at 16,189,581, with the United States the leader with 4,229,624, followed by Brazil and India;
- Worldwide reported deaths are at 647,784, with the U.S. the leader with 146,090 deaths, followed by Brazil and Great Britain/United Kingdom.
