Seven in council race so far

As many as seven people could be vying for two seats on the Stanton City Council as Friday’s deadline approaches.

According to the city clerk’s office, here’s the latest list of people who have taken out nomination papers for the Nov. 3 election. Those who have returned their completed documents and qualified are marked with an asterisk.

• For District 2: DeWayne Allen Normand,* Hong Alyce Van,*
• For District 4: Josh Estrada, Jeff Jones,* Victoria Ortiz, Carol Warren,* Mary Watson.
