Six hopefuls for council seats

SIX PEOPLE are possible candidates for Westminster City Council (File photo).

With one day to go before the deadline, six people have taken out papers to run for two seats on the Westminster City Council.

According to the city clerk’s office, here’s the latest list of those people who have pulled nomination papers for the Nov. 3 election. Those who have returned their completed documents and qualified for the ballot are marked with an asterisk.

• For District 2: Namquan Nguyen,* Trung Ta,* Carlos Manzo.*
• For District 3: Tai Do,* Shelley Henderson, Kimberly Ho.

This Friday the city hall will be closed, but in consideration of the filling deadline, the city clerk’s office will be open that day from 8 a.m. to noon solely for the purpose of processing candidate paperwork.
