Sunday count: 565 more cases

Note to readers: Delays and other problems in the computation of statistics related to the coronavirus pandemic in Orange County may result in widely-varying tallies from day to day.

Sunday’s count of new COVID-19 positive cases reported to the Orange County Health Care Agency is 565. There were six deaths.

The new to-date total for Orange County is 39,641; the new count for deaths is 726. The test-positivity figure is at 7.7 percent, a decrease from 8.3 percent on Saturday. That number indicates what portion of those tested positive for the infection regardless of whether they have symptoms. Eight percent is the threshold, or goal.

Here’s a list of the OC cities with the most cases. Deaths are in parentheses.

• Santa Ana: 7,619 (193).
• Anaheim: 6,789 (171).
• Garden Grove: 2,130 (29).
• Orange: 1,819 (26).
• Huntington Beach: 1,787 (51).

Westminster has 708 cases and 19 deaths; Stanton has 484 cases and seven deaths.
