UPDATE: Garden Grove mayoral candidate Duy Nguyen informed the city clerk of his intention to withdraw from the Nov. 3 election. However, he missed the deadline to do so, The Tribune has been told, so his name will still appear on the ballot.

Here’s the latest listing of candidates for mayor and city council seats in the cities of Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Stanton and Westminster.

All four incumbents on the Garden Grove City Council will have challengers in the Nov. 3 election.

According to the City Clerk’s office, here is the lineup of candidates for mayor and city council. Incumbents are marked with an asterisk.

A wide-open race for three seats on the Huntington Beach City Council is expected after two incumbents have chosen to not run for re-election. Because of that, the filing deadline has been extended to Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 5 p.m.

Here’s the lineup as of Monday morning of qualified candidates. We will update with changes throughout the day and week.

Five candidates are seeking two seats on the Stanton City Council.

According to the list on the city website, here is the list of those who have taken out nomination papers. Listed as “pending” are Estrada, Van and Normand.

Two incumbents will face off in the race for the District 3 seat on the Westminster City Council.They are Tao Do and Kimberly Ho.
